Indian Politics Takes Centre Stage at SOAS London

London: A public discussion titled “Indian Politics: Today & Tomorrow” brought together students, academics, researchers, journalists and members of the Indian diaspora at the SOAS, University of London, for an engaging conversation on India’s evolving political landscape. The event featured senior journalists and political analysts Ashutosh and Sheetal P. Singh, who shared their views on a range of issues concerning contemporary Indian politics. The discussion covered themes including democratic institutions, governance, the role of the media and the broader political trajectory of India. During the session, the speakers presented differing perspectives on several key issues, offering participants an opportunity to examine the challenges and opportunities facing Indian democracy in the present political environment. The discussion was moderated by Dr. Subir Sinha, Director of the SOAS South Asia Institute, who guided the conversation across a broad range of political and social themes.
