TASL & NIBE Bag ₹1,577 Crore Army Contracts —,Business Is Clearly Taking Off.

The Ministry of Defence on Friday, August 14, 2026, signed contract worth ₹1,577 crore with Tata Advanced Systems Ltd (TASL) and NIBE Ltd for the Indian Army. The contract cover the procurement of 84 loiter munition systems, 840 loiter munitions and associated accessories. According to the ministry, the acquisition is aimed at strengthening the Army precision strike capabilities, with the systems capable of operating at ranges of up to 100 km. Boost to Precision Strike Capability Loitering munitions are designed to remain in an operational area before identifying and engaging a designated target. Their acquisition is expected to provide the Army with additional flexibility for precision engagement while supporting modernisation of its battlefield capabilitie. The contracts also represent a significant order for Indian defence manufacturers, reflecting the government continued emphasis on expanding domestic defence production and strengthening indigenous capabilitie. A Major Defence Procurement The ₹1,577 crore contracts come as India continues to invest in advanced military technologie and precision systems.
