Ankit Baliyan Murder Probe, Two Alleged Shooters Meet Police in Shamli Encounter

Shamli: Days after popular Haryanvi singer Ankit Baliyan was shot dead outside a gym in Shamli, police on Monday said they killed two alleged gang members in an early morning encounter over their suspected involvement in the murder. The accused were identified as Sumit and Mohit, both residents of Sonipat. According to police, a reward of ₹50,000 each had been announced for information that could lead to their arrest. Four Shooters Suspected Shamli Superintendent of Police Narendra Pratap Singh said the investigation had indicated that four shooters were allegedly involved in the killing. During the investigation, we found that four shooters were involved in the killing, the police officer said, adding that two of them were intercepted by police and killed in the encounter.
