A 21 year old woman has died following a two vehicle collision near Maidenhead, in a tragic incident that has prompted a police appeal for witnesses.
The woman was driving a black Renault Twingo when it was involved in a crash with a grey Ford Transit on Hawthorn Hill, near Maidenhead, at around 08:40 BST on Saturday.
Thames Valley Police (TVP) confirmed that the woman died following the collision. Her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
Police are now appealing to motorists who may have witnessed the crash or seen the vehicles shortly before or during the collision. Officer are particularly keen to hear from people who may have left the area before police arrived.
