RSS Say Caste Bias Is a Blot on Hindu Society, Behaviour Change Now on the Agenda

RSS general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale has described caste based discrimination as a blot on Hindu society, arguing that laws alone cannot eliminate casteism and untouchability and that meaningful change also requires changes in individual behaviour. Addressing a gathering of RSS volunteers at Lal Parade Ground on Sunday, September 20, 2026, Hosabale said social reform cannot depend solely on legal provisions. His remarks placed emphasis on changing attitude and everyday conduct to address practices associated with caste discrimination.
