Senior Citizen Accuses Bjp MLA Son of Misbehaviour, CM Pramod Sawant Orders

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has ordered an inquiry into an alleged road rage incident involving the son of a BJP legislator after a senior citizen filed a police complaint in Curchorem. The complaint was filed by Shantaram Kudchadkar, a senior citizen from Curchorem, who alleged that Rahul Faldessai, son of Cumbarjua Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Rajesh Faldessai, along with his associates, stopped and confronted his family while they were travelling in their SUV. According to the complaint, the incident took place on Saturday at around 8.15pm, when Kudchadkar was travelling towards Margao with his daughter in law and grand children. What does the complaint allege? Kudchadkar alleged that when the family reached near the Pontemol junction, their way was blocked by another SUV. According to his complaint, the vehicle was parked diagonally across the road and occupied much of the middle portion of the carriageway. He alleged that Rahul Faldessai and his associates then confronted the occupants of his vehicle and hurled abuse at them. The complainant further alleged that the SUV subsequently followed and chased their vehicle before speeding away. The allegations have not been established by the police and remain subject to investigation. CM Pramod Sawant orders inquiry Following the complaint, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said he had ordered an inquiry into the incident. The move comes amid public attention over the alleged involvement of the son of a sitting BJP MLA. The investigation is expected to examine the circumstances surrounding the confrontation and determine what happened on the road that evening. Police will have to establish whether the allegations made in the complaint are supported by available evidence, including statements from those involved and any other relevant material. Political connection draws attention The case has attracted additional attention because the person named in the complaint is the son of a serving BJP legislator. However, the political connection does not by itself establish wrong doing.
